The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued an Official Dispatch to the People’s Committees of the provinces, municipal cities; affiliated units of the Ministry; Vietnam Electric Group (EVN) regarding the cooperation in organizing the “Nationwide energy saving movement in support of Earth Hour 2025”.

The Ministry of Industrial and Trade has developed a communication materials calling on the entire population to save energy to support Earth Hour 2025 with the message “GREEN TRANSITION - GREEN FUTURE”.

The materials include the following designs: posters, banners, flag banners, Facebook avatar frames, shirts, hats and bags. Instructions for updating Facebook avatar frame to support the nationwide energy saving for the Earth Hour 2025:

To maximize communication effectiveness and create a strong impact, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requests People’s Committees of provinces, municipal cities to:

Organize communication activities calling the entire population to join the Government in practicing energy saving in response to Earth Hour 2025.

Implement activities in response to calling on the entire population to join the Government in practicing energy saving and supporting Earth Hour 2025 integrating with the local Electricity Saving Program under Directive No. 20/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on strengthening electricity saving for the 2023 - 2025 period and beyond.

Encourage organizations, agencies, and citizens to turn off lights and unnecessary devices during the Lights Off Event in response to The Earth Hour. The event will take place for one hour, from 08:30 PM to 09:30 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025. 

Encourage organizations, agencies and citizens to participate in the virtual marathon supporting the movement “Nationwide Energy Saving in Response to Earth Hour 2025” at https://tapchicongthuong.vn/. The marathon takes place from March 08, 2025 until March 31, 2025.
